Hot Buys 60's Swirl Dress

Hey Dolls!

Stardoll has released the latest September Hot Buy. It is a 60's inspired dress from Decades. When I first saw the dress on another Stardoll blog post, I thought: "OMG! I'm so buying that dress!" Then I read further and realized that it is priced at 23SD. This has slightly put me off buying it. Hot Buys don't really suit their name anymore. Hot Buys from a few years ago used to be 2,3,4, or 5SD not 15-25SD!! Anyway, I love the colour scheme of this dress. All the colours fit really well together and the dress looks fab as a whole! What are your opinions? Will you buy it because it's a Hot Buy, because you like it or will you not buy it at all? Let me know what you think...I like it!

Hot Buys Roar Tee

Hello readers,

I aplogise for not posting yesterday, as I met up with my best friend and fellow writer Rachel, to do some serious shopping!

The second hotbuy of September was brought out yesterday, and priced at only 15sd! The lion face print T-shirt is available from the stardoll store and looks amazing! It's the top that's got the people talking and the focal point of any outifit. The real life version came from Topshop, priced at only £20 both you and your medoll can look fierce!

I bought the item but am not sure what to wear it with, any suggestions?

New Mortal Kiss!

Hello readers,

A few days ago stardoll brought out the latest Mortal Kiss Store. Today I'm comparing past and present to see if the clothes from the book have improved.

Firstly we'll start with the first store of Mortal Kiss. At the time when it was released I was a non ss and was suprised as to how many things I could buy! The outfits varied in style, and looked good on all medoll's. I really regret selling all my old Mortal kiss, as it has become more valuable because it's popularity has increased. The store also featured a superstar floor and many clothes for boys also, the clothes there did not dissapoint. As far as I can remember Mortal Kiss has not lacked in anything, if I'm wrong let me know! As a whole I would have to give them a 9/10 xx

It's early days for the latest store. The prices are certainly higher than before, plus I have only found a few items I really want to buy. I am slightly excited about the prospect of more floors, but hope to see items of clothing for non ss, not just acsessories. The store has definetly increased in popularity and the metallic's, greys and  silver colourscheme which runs  throughout the collection has been spotted in real designer's clothes such as Donna Karen. I'm giving it a 8/10 and hope to see more floors in the future.

Hot Buys Mint Bouquet Purse

Hey Dollies!

How are you all today?

Following Georgie's last post, I bring you.... *drum roll* the newest Hot Buy!! It is a lovely little glam bag, priced at 10SD. Quite reasonable, wouldn't you say? The bag is so summery and feminine...I love it! The bag is from Bonjour Bizou, and I would say it is one of their best pieces to date. I was so near to clicking the BUY button, when I took a look at it on my medoll and thought "this bag is a tad too small". And that was it, puchase unsuccessful  :( Never mind, there are always other hotbuys! Do you know what inspired this bag? Let us know if you do!

Tribute Outfits

Hey Dollies!

There has been many tribute stores over the past few months on Stardoll. Famous fashion designers will have their clothes transformed into Stardoll look-a-like clothes. I think this is an excellent way for your dolly to follow the latest trends from the latest designers. The clothes are only SS, so sadly not everybody can buy them- but they are exclusive luxuries for those privileged enough to be SS. Today I am going to show you my favorite outfits from the existing tribute stores.


Moschino Tribute.

What you need to buy:

*The colours in this outfit are bright and on-trend. The top compliments the skirt and the shoes are neutral and keep the look chic.

Givenchy Tribute.

What you need to buy:

Total: 55SD

*This is my favorite outfit! The brightness of the top is toned down by the white palazzo pants. The bag add sophistication. The whole outfit look glamorous and fashionable!

Starbazar's - Tricks Of The Trade.

Today I'm posting about the well known starbazar. A place to find a good deal, rip people off, finding vintage L.E, and sell rares. I love the starbazar as you can find the most unique, cheap and vintage clothes. With these hints and tips under your belt, hopefully next time you can also find your special piece of clothing....

Finding a good deal:

The key is to browse before you buy. You can save so many stardollars it's unbelievable! With antidote starting at 30sd and DNKY at 20 you  can buy the items you want, at a price that leaves your pockets full. The popular designers of stardoll often sell their designs at less than 20 sd. They look amazing and could be sold in starcoins for non ss, but ask nicely! Haggling is a great way to get a good deal, get to know your seller first though! Kindness is the key, nobody's going to sell their clothes for reduced prices if your rude and pushy.

Bidding:
You can find an extrodinary deal if the bidder isn't well known, however set a limit and always think beforehand. Remember you could get the same item at a cheaper price from a starbazar. Getting to know the bidder is a major plus! She/he could notify you about new items that are up for bidding.

                                                                                                                       

Trading:

Getting to know the trader is the best thing, if it's your best friend she's less likely to rip you off. Always have your wits about you, if something doesn't seem right about her/him it's probably not. Reasearch is the best thing you can do before you trade. Check his/her references and safe traders list. You could save yourself a lot of hassle tears and sd.

I was was kind of bored on stardoll earlier so I went to
have a look at all of my clubs and the clubs that I have

joined. So I went to a random club, Behappy.Bewild and 

found an absolutely beautiful doll in the members list. She 

is called malcitta123. She has over 5000 starpoints!!! The 

dress she is wearing in this picture is the Capri nights dress.

Her shoes really compliment the dress and he make-up is

beautiful as well to top it off.

Not One But 2 HotBuys!!

Hello readers,

Today whilst browsing through the starplaza I found not one but 2 hotbuy dresses! Both released on the same day it's got to be a glitch? Yes indeed it is, the pink fireworks dress was supposed to be relased on the 31st. Why? Nobody seems to know, however I get to write 2 juicy reviews on each of these fantastic pieces of clothing.

I'll start off with the 'beatlemania' dress. We haven't seen a hotbuy from decades for some time, however when a new item is released it doesn't dissapoint! Emerald green teamed with black polka dots and a pastel sash, brings a fresh take to the pinks and purples we have seen this august. The dress also features a risqe sheer neckline, a major trend for fall. Admitantly I've got mixed feelings about the dress, as I've updated my medoll to having a modern dark crop. However collecting hotbuy's is one of my guilty pleasures, so like many other girls I will be buying this green little number (and probably not wearing it). At 23 sd it is around average for a hotbuys dress, so I won't be feeling guilty about Stardoll ripping me off.

The second dress released today is a 'fireworks' dress. At 25sd it seems around average for a pretty in love hotbuy, so nobody's pockets should be much lighter. Despite this it doesn't quite live up to it's name. The bottom part of the dress is printed with pale pink leaves possibly flowers. I wouldn't call them fireworks personally, but they do stand out on the fabulous magenta backround.The dress conforms to the set colour scheme of purples and pink we have seen throughout the year. Will I be buying it? Maybe I haven't quite decided yet x

Winner Of My Contest!

A few days ago I posted a very small competition about making an outfit from the new hotbuys fur stole. I didn't expect any feedback. However earlier today Avalible... emailed me about a girl who had won the competition. Her name is ilariette . Popular, royal and fashionable are words which describe this girl. Her suite is amazing and she is a rightful winner. Although she didn't comment a gift will be given (no it won't be a cupcake) for making a beautiful outfit with the leopard print stole.

Hot Buys Cheetah Print Stole

The upshot is... an interesting bright magenta leopard print stole. It's unique, from Rio and at 16sd is a high price to pay just for an accessory. A hand crafted statement piece and focal point of any outfit. What to pair the latest hotbuy with? It's a question many of the members will be asking. I have no idea to be perfectly honest. It's crucial to get an outfit spot on and harder if your incorporating a hb into it! I'm addicted to hb's and have bought the item, where it has immediatly been paced in the hb room in my growing suite. I'm stuck for inspiration help!

Glitch Surely?

Hello readers,

Whilst browsing through the starplaza this morning I found a pair of shoes from the new floor from the collection sea of stars. You may be thinking what's so unusual about that? The shoes were only 6 starcoins! This has got to be a glitch. Stardoll is usually so money orientated and would never sell an item for 6 sc. Grab your pair before the staff realise :)

The Givenchy Tribute..... if you could call it that!

The clothes are dull, the styles are hideous. Even the mannequins are looking bored, not to mention the hideous clothes they are being forced to wear! Givenchy comes to stardoll and not exactly in style...

Disgusting brown coloured skirts and clown style boots seemed to be the focal point of the collection and as for the prints, they did not work at all! I along with the many other members of stardoll will not be buying from the collection and you can clearly see why. A major injection of style is needed, right in the revolting purple turtleneck sweater.  The recent collections of stardoll are going to hell in a handcart - they just keep getting worse! Stardoll need to stop focusing on the prices and start looking for a brand with style to sell to it’s members. As for the prices, just two words rip off!

I love this hat, it's super cute, and way to expensive! It costs 17 sd. But if you're really in love with this piece, the price doesn't matter.
