Hello Readers,
It's Monday evening and time to write my post based on a thought I had this afternoon whilst I was sitting in my science room gazing out of the window and not listening to the monotonus droans spouting from my teacher. Whilst most were talking about a major event in the social calander or discussing the scandal and gossip from the previous weekend, I was pondering over the subject of stardoll itself and what I would do if others found out I used this site. Apart from my family and best friend rachellouiseeee who lives hours away, nobody knows that I play on this site. Whenever I feel lonely or rejected from society I know this site can make me feel better. I'ts my haven...
A part of me seems to tell me that if anyone found out I would be pushed down to the very bottom of the 'social ladder' one that we all know exists very much in our own schools, it seems human beings need to establish order to be able to get on with their everyday lives. Others who know little or hardly information about the site seem to be under the impression that Stardoll is nothing more than a silly little game aimed at 7 year olds.
That's where they're wrong though. It's mostly teenagers and young adults that use the site and furthers understanding of not just fashion designers and products, but of social and cultural events and issues going on all around the world at the same time. Making friends not just from my own country but from all over the world. The moment I discovered the user made blogs I felt a sense of belonging, that I could gain experience writing for such an amazing media institution where I could develop my skills in my own time without feeling pressurised from people I saw everyday.
So what are your thought's on stardoll life and the site in general?
Love Georgie/abbeydawn122 xx
